1.0 Laminated safety glass is made by sandwiching two pieces of glass between a special layer of film where it is processed to make the layers of glass and film permanently bonded together.
2.0 Laminated glass is also called safety glass. It can be used on glass partition for offices and shopfront for it's safety and security features. What are those features?
2.1 It is capable of withstanding heavy impacts.
2.2 It will still break but not shattered into pieces.
2.3 If it breaks, the film which acts like a super glue tape will hold the glass together. When a laminated glass breaks, it results in a spiderweb effect of a cracked glass as best demonstrated by a broken car windscreen which uses laminated glass.
2.4 As laminated cannot break without the whole glass coming down together , when it is used as the glass panel for glass or aluminium frame partition for offices and shopfronts, one can do away with grille as additional security.
